Privacy Policy
How Gewo Health collects, uses, and protects your personal and health information.
Last updated: 30 July 2026
Gewo Health ("we", "us") operates a telehealth and wellness platform that connects patients with doctors and wellness professionals. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website, mobile app, and all related services.
1. Information we collect
- Account details — name, mobile number, email address, date of birth, gender, and the family members you add to your profile.
- Health information — symptoms you describe, consultation notes, prescriptions, wellness plans, reports, and documents you upload.
- Booking and payment data — appointments, packages purchased, and transaction references. Card and UPI credentials are handled by our payment gateway and are never stored on our servers.
- Technical data — device type, browser, IP address, and app usage logs used to keep the service secure and working.
2. How we use your information
- To let you book consultations and share the details a doctor or wellness professional needs to treat you.
- To generate prescriptions, wellness plans, and your medical history inside the app.
- To send appointment reminders, follow-up alerts, and service updates over SMS, email, WhatsApp, or push notification.
- To process payments, refunds, and package usage.
- To detect misuse, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal or health information, and we do not use your health records for advertising.
3. Who can see your health records
Your medical records are visible to you, the family members you have added to your account, and the doctor or wellness professional you have booked with. Our support staff can access limited records only when it is required to resolve an issue you have raised, and every such access is logged.
4. Sharing with third parties
We share data only with service providers who help us run the platform — payment gateways, SMS and email providers, cloud hosting, and video-consultation infrastructure. They may use your data only to perform that service for us. We may also disclose information where required by law, a court order, or a lawful government request.
5. Data retention
Medical records, prescriptions, and consultation history are retained for as long as your account is active, and thereafter for the period required under applicable medical record-keeping rules. Payment records are retained as required by tax and accounting law.
6. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on access-controlled servers, and access to health records is restricted by role. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your login OTP confidential and inform us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
7. Your choices
- View and correct your profile and family member details at any time from your account.
- Download your prescriptions and wellness plans as PDFs.
- Opt out of promotional messages while continuing to receive essential appointment notifications.
- Request deletion of your account. We will delete your profile and remove your data except records we are legally required to retain.
8. Children
Accounts are for users aged 18 and above. A parent or guardian may add a minor as a family member and is responsible for that minor's information on the platform.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make a material change we will update the date above and notify you in the app. Continuing to use Gewo Health after a change means you accept the updated policy.
10. Contact us
Questions about privacy, or a request about your data? Write to privacy@gewohealth.com or reach us through the support page. We respond within 5 working days.
